Starting to move along a little bit. At this rate we should be done before Bryson :D OOOF! Sorry, that was for the air foil comment.

Can't say I didn't deserve that one. Sad truth is you will probably beat me... although I do have driveshafts now! Ok, so that's only a little bit closer.:-\

Build is lookin' kick-ass!

Weim's are awesome!! Is your dog as devious as ours?
Not sure devious is the right word but, she is something.

She thinks life is all about her and that she is human. She even sits on her butt with her back against the car seat. Might as well teach her to throw her elbow out the window too.

The first intentions of the build were just to fix what was wrong and then go wheeling. We were going to replace the front springs and his steering. Now as you can see everything is cut and WAY far beyond where we first thought. Looking back we both know we should have just built a buggy. Oh well....

Here are some of Gomers welds. Not bad for somebody who is just learning and never welds!

Eric, where did you get the tcase mount? Way nice to get rid of the cross member! Looking good so far. I like how you used the spring hanger holes in the frame for your lower links. Good idea.

T case mount all came from Marlincrawler. That crossmember was way too big of a digger for sure!

We actually didnt use the spring hanger holes. We thought about it but the hole wouldnt allow us to use the tube that we wanted to match up with the rod end we were using.

Lookin good man, I'll have to stop by and check out the shop projects. It was nice to meet you and play around a bit at Miller I hope we can hit up a trail soon. Sorry that the races were over by the time we headed out of the rock course, I thought those races were going to last a lot longer. Tell Gomer to get that thing done!!!:D

Did you guys ever make it out to 5 mile? We went there that night. Broke my upper link bolt on the nest.

Good to meet you too. Let me know when you get out to wheel or want to drop by.

if i would have known you were going to chop up that Xcab and only use the fire wall I would have offerd up or traded a rolled cab and a left over frame.......
It does look good.

No we didn't get out there last weekend, but plan on heading out soon. I need to pull apart my hub I think I may have broken it or the outer shaft. I'll let you know when we decide to head out.

Thanks again Erik. Got the shirt yesterday and sported it up to TeraFlex so Carl could see what they looked like. Awesome!

Looks like we are due for an update. We almost fell off the whole Gen4x4

We got some time to work on it lately.

"Frame" is all done now, sliders tacked on, motor mounts done. Its nice to have the engine holding itself up and its also nice having the cab hold itself up too.

Here are some random pics. Not sure what we had done last time, so just look at the pics and figure it out for yourself. :p

Looks good! I was worried you forgot about it!:p
Nah,

We have been working slowly on it. Just didnt feel like posting pictures when there isnt much progress to show. We had a decent day yesterday. If we can both get together and work on it, there is some pretty good progress.
