Donald Trump's offer

Did anyone cach wind of what Trump offered the President?

Gist:
If Obama will release his college applications and transcripts AND release all of his passport documentation and history, Trump will donate 5 million dollars to the charity or charities of Trump's choice immediately after the documents are released.

Pretty bold of Trump and definitely something I'm going to keep my eye on. I don't follow politics really closely but this confusion with Obama's past has always had me a bit concerned.

I think of all of the digging in to the past that was just done regarding Lance Armstrong and I wonder why more clear evidence of Obama's past hasn't been more demanded by all Americans, not just Republicans. If over a few bike trophies, why not over the Presidency?

Trump is the man, and I bet Obama doesn't release anything. But I do agree with you on the digging into the past like they did with lance. Which does suck for the sport but there are people like this in a lot of sports and people just need to be made an example of if you cheat.

Go trump!

My understanding is that the $5m would go to the charity of Obama's choice, not Trump's.

It's a nice thought, but it'll never happen.

I am still undecided about who to vote for. but I will say I am more concerned about what Romney will do (no one knows what he is going to do including him) if elected than I am about Obama's history. Trump is grandstanding as usual, after all he endorsed Romney and is trying to stir things up right before the election. If there was anything to what Trump is implying, it would have been found by now.

The great thing about UT is you can vote for whomever you like and I don't have to feel that you're getting in the way of my efforts to save the Republic. I voted in FL because I am more needed there.

Trump is an ass. He's no better then Hannity, Limbaugh, Oreilly, Beck, and all the other hate mongers of today's society.

Do some of the people of this country still really think that with the sophistication that this country possesses that we would allow somebody who is not eligible to be the president of the United States be the president?

Poor horse! I'd hate to see what it looks like by now.

....

I do agree with you. However, you did forget Matthews and Maddow. Anything that comes out of either MSNBC, CNN or FoxNews is a bunch of over sensationalized bullshit in my opinion. Maybe 10% of what they say could be true from either side. It'd be nice if there was some actual journalism available.

Liberal hate mongers... lolz

"These Negroes, they're getting pretty uppity these days and that's a problem for us since they've got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we've got to do something about this, we've got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference. For if we don't move at all, then their allies will line up against us and there'll be no way of stopping them, we'll lose the filibuster and there'll be no way of putting a brake on all sorts of wild legislation. It'll be Reconstruction all over again." --Sen. Lyndon B. Johnson (D., Texas), 1957

"I did not lie awake at night worrying about the problems of Negroes."

--Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, 1961
Kennedy later authorized wiretapping the phones and bugging the hotel rooms of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada described in private then-Sen. Barack Obama as "light skinned" and "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one."

"I do not think it is an exaggeration at all to say to my friend from West Virginia [Sen. Robert C. Byrd, a former Ku Klux Klan recruiter] that he would have been a great senator at any moment. . . . He would have been right during the great conflict of civil war in this nation." --Sen. Christopher Dodd (D., Conn.), 2004

"I mean, you got the first mainstream African American [Barack Obama] who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice looking guy." -- Sen. Joseph Biden 2006
(Referring to Barack Obama in discussion with Ted Kennedy) "A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee."

"The only reason you are endorsing him is because he's black. Let's just be clear." -- Former President Bill Clinton

"Blacks and Hispanics are too busy eating watermelons and tacos to learn how to read and write." -- Mike Wallace, CBS News

"I first would allow the guilty bankers to pay… back anything over 100 million in personal wealth because I believe in a maximum wage of 100 million dollars and if they’re unable to live on that amount then they should go to the reeducation camps, and if that doesn’t help, then be beheaded." Rosanne Barr

"I have good news to report. Glenn Beck appears closer to suicide. I'm hoping that he does it on camera....given his alcoholism and his tendencies towards self-destruction, I am only hoping that when Glenn Beck does put a gun to his head and pulls the trigger, that it’s on television, because somebody will capture it on YouTube and it will be the most popular little piece of video for months." He was the govenator of Mass., is that close enough of a track record of him doing something?... He has a record of being a sucsessfull buissness owner, even if one of them was dissasembling the buissenes..
I would say he knows what he is going to do, even though we dont.. the bigger problem for me is, how to get rid of Salazar!!!! Obama isnt going to do it

"I did not lie awake at night worrying about the problems of Negroes."

There are some sweet little "Gems" right there! I got a kick out of them - its amazing how the need for decorum and civility has a diffent scale depending upon who is or is not doing it.

Many on here dismiss anyone who voices their opinions politically as radical or idiots who must be lying 100% of the time.

I would think that Romney would be known by most Utah citizens for unarguably saving the Olympics from serious losses. If you don't know anything about him you can find it in just a few minutes.

GO ROMNEY!

..............and as for Trump, I personally think its just another one of his stunts, we know the source so why get riled up over it, on the other hand why not help a charity with a huge donation - seems to me it would be pretty good for the Presidents image. Because he of course is "transparent" and has nothing to hide.

Part of his plan that saved the Olympics was funneling money directly out of the school district and many other programs. FWIW. He's not the savior everybody is making him out to be. Whatever though, we'll just be back in the same boat in another 4 years. Robomney circus.

Its all politics! Why did Obama demand Romney to release his tax returns? Do you think that the IRS didn't look into Romney taxes to make sure he paid his fair share?

My thoughts are that there is some political fuel in those records that can make Obama look bad.
