I was recently in Phoenix and if you leave your car at a bar and take a cab home, you ask for a 'voucher' or whatever they call it and the cab company will send someone out in the morning to take you back to your car for free.

Thats a fantastic idea if you ask me!

You'd be surprised what a deterrent our DUI laws are . . .
What we have in place stops most people from repeat offenses.
But you forgot to mention that subsequent DUI's in a 10 year period face stiffer penalties.
2nd DUI, for example, is 10 days of jail or 240 hours of community service.

And that 3rd Degree animal torture bill pisses me off! Why are we punishing people more for hurting an animal than a child?
I find it absolutely ludicrous that there is not so much as an enhancement provision in that POS Henry's law . . .
You want to get a felony from animal torture, fine, but at least put in provisions for enhancing it to felony range!
The first person who kicks a dog, and is charged with a felony, will make me sick.

Pisses me off b/c I have to deal with this crap

Idaho finally got with it and cracked down, used to be driving w/o priveleges was a felony third time as was DUI and .10 or higher was DUI. Now they have reduced driving w/o priveleges from a felony, as they were filled with driving, less DUI and more DWP in the prisons, and DUI, .o8 -.15 is single offense; .16-.23 is second offense, and .24-+ is third offense/felony. So if on your first conviction your are .24 or higher, felony. Done. second offense, you are .16 or higher, felony, so on and so forth. I believe the felony carries a minimum of three years prison, usually suspended,(6 month rider is typically in a Boot camp or work camp) and your driving privileges are suspended for the whole three years.
