Comet Holmes is fantastic, don't miss this rare event. To learn how to find it click here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/17P/Holmes If you don't want to do that, just look in the north eastern sky between Cassiopia and the Pleiades in the constellation Perseus. You can see it with the naked eye but binocs or telescope make it look unreal. Check it out.

I wonder if that's the bright ass star I've been seeing in the sky lately... From here, it's south-east. Now that I know where it's supposed to be, I'll look again tonight to see if it's the same...If it is, I'll have to grab the 'scope and take a peak!

Astronomers think it will be this bright for a couple of weeks. Do not confuse Mars or Venus with this. Mars is up at about 7:00 pm and can be seen in the northeast. It is very bright right now and very red. Venus is up early in the morning in the east and is unmistakable being the brightest thing in the sky. The comet is hard to see because it looks like a blury star, put a scope on it and it is amazing. Best time to see it is about 9:00 pm.

I went out last night with the binoculars and without knowing where the constellations were I lucked out and it was in the first place I looked. Looked like a big glowing blob.
