I've had my HF drill press for around 6 years now, and it's had a LOT of use. (including about 3 years in the shop...) Got a new chuck just before I brought it back home, and it still works as new.
Like EZ said, the included oiler is worthless, don't even put it on. Other than that, it's been great.
One of the things I was looking for when I bought mine was slow speed--and mine will go down to 160RPM, I think. I looked/researched a lot before purchasing, and my model looks identical to the JET model at the time, with the exception of the housing around the belts and the on/off switch. The belt brand is the same, the chuck is the same brand, even the same little dollop of grease on top of the splines for the chuck.
