So I am about ready to have my drive lines rebuilt. I called Tom Woods but they told me they don't have the ability to balance a 2 piece drive line. I want a 2 piece for the rear to keep it up out of the rocks as much as possible. Anybody have any recommendations?

Call Six States in SLC. Talk to Eric. They did my enormous, long-as-you-can-get 2pc shaft in my crew-cab longbed. If I remember right, they balanced each piece separately-- both sides are as long as regular shafts. :D

That's interesting since they balance the one in the zombie killer. Otherwise yes 6states in slc built mine for my 75 IH and its perfection.

Call Curtis at Tatton's In Murray. He owns a small shop, and is super easy to work with. Great prices and service. All two piece shafts should be balanced together, then a timing mark placed on them so you know how to put them back together if you ever split them up.

if your in salt lake GRS is good and i believe there is a shop called slee drive lines had a muscle car driveshaft done there long as crap and it turned out perfect

tell chris at GRS the "guy with the black v8 bronco II" sent you....he hooked up the last guy i sent there with a shortened front driveshaft, and a new u-joint for $38.00 out the door
