I'm all for it. I know a couple that is trying to adopt their niece from her welfare getting brother and his wife. The parents of the girls, 15 months and 3yo, want the kids because they get more welfare. The kids have been taken three times by family services and the parents straighten up just enough to get them back then got back to their meth addiction. The last time family services was called the 3 yo was dirty, covered in feces and across the street. When authorities got there and went in the house the parents were wasted and had been for days. The 15 month old had been in the same diaper for a few days and had wicked diaper rash turning to open sores all the way down both legs and the house was worse than you can imagine. The 3yo went to grandmas and the 15 month old went to my friends. Sure enough the parents cleaned up and petitioned to get the kids back. Ironic that the day of court the kids father was arrested for illegal disposal of meth materials and thrown in jail. They again are trying to get the kids back because they get more welfare $$.

This is totally heartbreaking. When I hear of kids being treated like this my compassion and kindness go out the window toward those perpetrating it. Common sense is gone in all of these agencies. Why would we give anyone the chance to do this to the kids again?! A butt kicking and tossing them in jail is not enough. Imagine living in your crap for days! I would make sure they did not get the chance to harm them further. It won't stop there with a meth addiction.
