Go with duals and 4.7's in the rear and you'll have the best of both worlds. Running in double low with 4.7's and my 5.38 axle gears puts me at about 223-1 first gear so i could let it idle and jump out and spot myself.:D:D
Ghost ride the whip:)

You need to make sure your T-case is a top shift style. Then you need an adapter, crossmember, speedometer extention, drive shafts, and a new hole in your floor... If you play your cards right you can do it for much less than 1K dollars. Here are a few popular ones also check out Advanced Adapters as they make one too.

Just alittle off topic.I remember reading someone on pirate make's and sell's the adapter's.Excellent gearing option's without changing t-case gear's and axle ratio's.Lot's of dual tranny build thread's on pirate,I find it quite interesting.

With a single transfer case and two identical 5 speeds, thats 26, count 'em, 26 unique forward gear choices and 10 unique reverse gears. There's also 25 reduntant gear choices.

Don't tell Cody...

Another cool thing about dual transmissions it that you can run the rear trans in a lower gear (like third) and make up for having big tires and stock axle gears when driving down the highway.

That option is for people with a lot of time and no money :)
