Is there a preference on which you would rather run? One better than another.

How's that for spelling it out? :p

For the yota stuff I would Rather have an E-locker, Although I do have an ARB in the front of my yota (price was right) I just love that the toyota factory stuff is so well engineered for many many more miles than we will ever put them through.

So if they were the same price ... E-locker.

I like the idea of not worrying about air. The e locker seems simple, no seals to leak and no air lines to leak. I have not heard much about the e locker, but I'm a huge fan of Detroit/ now Eaton.

anyone have any real use tales?

I personally would go e-locker. Your rig should always have a 12 volt supply. The air system would either run off of that 12 volt system, or depend on the engine running.

Just my opinion.

What are you using it for? ARB is arguably stronger, and has very little slop when locked. E-locker is simpler to install, but allows about 1/4 turn of one wheel before it locks up.

I've run both chasing the air lines on the arb gets old sometimes and had good luck with the e-locker but they only warranty if your running stock size tires on your rig. If I were to buy new again I would give ox a try.

This locker would be for my CJ7. It is mostly a daily driver with occasional offroad trips. In the winter, being able to lock it in when stuck in the snow would benefit me. Tire size would be 33's.

Thanks for all the replies.

I've got an E-Locker in the front of my Jeep. It's given good service after some slight modifications (early production model).

I think I'd go with an ARB again (had them front/rear in my Cherokar) over the e-locker.

I would run the arb, I heard too much bad stuff about the e -locker. Plus you can get the arb from Kurt. Plus then you have to have onboard air, which can be a plus for tires etc.
