So I need some new earphones cause the ones that came with my ipod got eaten by my kid and don't work anymore. Just wondering what is the best bang for the buck earphones out there and what every one uses. I saw there are sound isolating ones and tons of different brands.

That is all you need to know they are the best buds and they are really cheap just go to FYE and ask for Skull Candy they should be right at the entrance of the Fort Union store.

They are only ten bucks and they sound really good far better than ipods and like he said you will be cool.

I have to respectfully disagree....Skull Candy are the "cool thing" but far from best bang for your buck....
VModa's, Sennheiser's, Ultimate Ears, etc. provide far superior sound!

Lots of info:

They are better I can tell you that because they cost more. I have had my skull candy for a year only ten bucks when I got them. Looking at those ones especially the CX whatever they have a real akward shape to them. I really like them because I remember paying 100 bucks for some buds and they were some brand they sounded really great but man it hurt my ear like a mother to have them in for more than a 1/2 hour. I think they were ultimate ear and looking at them online they are those ones. So I just say cheap is cheap.:-\

Far as sound goes it isn't like surround system but hey you can hear it can't you? I don't listen to many technical beats anymore that require that kind of function either. Just simple screaming metal for me.

I've got a pair of Etymotic Research ER6i earphones as well as a pair of Shure E4c earphones. The Shure's are my favorite, but they do have a few shortcomings- the wires that they use on them are super heavy duty, so they weigh quite a bit, and the plastic coating on the wires gets really rigid when the temperature drops below about 40 degrees, and nearly solid at about 20 degrees, which makes them useless for cold weather use. They sound incredible though! The ER6i's are not on the same level as the Shure's in terms of sound quality, but they still sound great, and can be had for $50-60. I generally end up using the ER6i's most often, mainly due to their light weight. Both brands come with a variety of different ear inserts, so you can customize them to fit snugly and comfortably.

I have a set of Sony earphones that I use. They were $50, and they sound great. I know the Shure, etc are much better but they are also much more expensive. The Sony's come with the different inserts as well for proper ear fitment. I can wear mine for hours and not even realize they are there ;)

I have a set of sony head phones that I use when I play guitar late at night. They were $40~. I use either the plain iPod headphones that came with it, or at most twenty dollar headphones with my iPod. I cannot understand spending $500 on headphones, unless youre Bill Gates or something, and I listen to ALOT of music.

If youre interested I have two sets of the standard iPod headphones and only need one.

I destroy headphones, so I use the $10 Sony earbuds from Walmart. I think they sound pretty good and are comfortable to wear (for me)

I don't have Earbuds, if i were going to get some i'd go with the Sennheisers though. The headphones i do have are Sennheiser HD580 Precision Circum Aural's. You won't see P-Diddy wearing them in the studio, but you probably would see Hanz Zimmer or John Williams wearing them.

Good sound is a vicious and expensive cirlce!!!! Make the truck sound good, now the earbuds sound crappy, get better iem's, now the home stereo sounds crappy, get new home equipment, now the iem's don't sound so good, get new iem's now the truck doesn't sound so good.....

Basically you don't know what you're missing until you hear better....

Thats the problem- I have always just used the cheap ones. The ones that came with my ipod were the best ones I have ever had and I thought they were amazing. Now that they are ruined I don't want to go back. I have some cheap sony walmart ones and they sound good enough when hooked up to my computer but when plugged into my ipod they suck.

Try the senni's (CX300)for the price it is a good compromise....
