Emergency Project in AF Canyon 7/21 - Get a free shirt!

Please view the details here:

http://www.rockymountainextreme.com/showthread.php?t=45469

We desparately need as many volunteers as possible to help with this project. A good showing will help with our long term strategy to keep the roads in the canyon open, and helps us increase our chances of getting closed routes re-opened.

Please attend if you can.

Free U4WDA t-shirt for every volunteer!

Bring work gloves and water. As with all volunteer projects you must wear long pants and closed-toe shoes (no sandals or flip-flops).

Is there a place for parking the Tow vehicle and trailer up the canyon? How far of a drive is it past that point in the 4 wheel drives? I think the scout's ready and I'm excited to finally get on some trails and get my hands dirty on some cleanup projects:D
Thanks, Brad J.

Yes if you get there early enough, the parking lot does fill up on the weekends. How far it is depends on how fast you drive ;)

Stop sullying up our project thread with your hilarious yet off-topic comments!

Meat, you can come to the project, but you have to promise not to try any circus stunts with your 4-wheeler. For example, don't launch it off a cliff, and don't fall off of it into the river (like I did).

Brad, yes you can park a trailer at Tibble Fork Reservoir. From there it is only a few miles on a maintained dirt road. After the project, I'm sure there will be plenty of folks on hand to do some wheeling with.

Thanks!

You can bring tools, but I'm going to get the FS to bring plenty of extras (rock bars, post-hole diggers, shovels, etc). For sure bring gloves.

As with any FS project be sure to wear long pants and shoes (no open toed sandles).

You know of a better way to keep a chit chat thread active?

We'll see if I can have something other than my Cummins drivable by then, cuz I'm not driving that up the canyon ever again.

Stupid question. About how long will this take? I think I can be there for a couple of hours. This kind of sounds like a all day project. Guess we better get lot's of us there. Any chances of getting some positive exposure on this?
