Well guys 1 step forward 2 back. I went and picked up my rebuilt motor the other day and its not put together. When I took it in I said I wanted a short block. When I asked them why it wasnt put together they said that I didnt ask for a short block. When I was looking around for a machine shop I got a bunch of quotes for a short block rebuild and theres was one of the highest but I heard good things about them so I went with them. So now I am looking for a new machine shop to finish putting it together. Who do you guys suggest? Im in the layton area so the closer the better thanks.

Felt is awesome but they are usually a few weeks out on assembly and it isnt cheap.

Why not just bolt it up yourself? Find the torque specs online and buy some assembly lube and go at it. There is nothing to it

Felt is who did it. I am considering doing it myself I have never done it before and I dont have alot of time to get it done as fast as I want.

There used to be a place in Layton kind of behind the Maverik on Main st. I will try to remember the name of it. I had them do a couple sets of heads before I started going to Felt.

Their work was great!

I will give both those places a call I did order a book about building bb dodge motors. Ill look that over when it comes in and weigh my options from there. I really wanted felt to do it all but I just cant afford what they told me it would cost to finish assembling it. Thanks for the suggestions.

I may have to take you up on that offer. I talked to jensen auto they seem straight forward and honest. They also gave me a really reasonable quote.
