Ever see a Utah bear or mountain lion?

The guys chasing them with dogs for the hunt are exempt from this, I hope they have seen them. Who has anyone ever seen a wild bear or mountain lion in the Utah wilderness?

this summer near Strawberry. Freaked me out to see a bear. Kinda smallish, young enough to possibly have a bigger bear around ready to kick my ass, but maybe big enough to be on it's own.

Oh, they're faster than hell, too.

My brother was mtn biking down Rock Canyon above Provo, he was quite a ways up the canyon. He rounded a corner & saw a cougar in front of him, scared the hell out of him & hopefully the cougar too. The cougar ran off into the brush, but that didn't stop him from pedaling his heart out for the next 15 min.

I have seen 3 black bear in CO, all last year.

saw a black bear in Ephraim canyon about 7 years ago, and I've seen numerous mountain lions over the years.

I saw a bear up AF canyon once. Seen a lot of bear sign up there as well. I've hung out with MANY mountain lions out west but never actually seen one. (Many times I could hear them in the trees, and many times I saw their tracks on my tracks when I hiked back out of places)

Yes

we saw Three up in the La Sals when we went on the Muzzleloader hunt this year. A mother and two cubs. The cubs were pretty big though probably yearlings. Couple of coyotes were hanging around them. They were right below Haystack mountain. Mountain lions I have seen plenty around Smith Moorehouse and also up around Current creek sort of Low pass creek area.

I saw a black bear in Spanish Fork Canyon while I was heading down to Moab. It was about 4 miles into the canyon, and running across the railroad tracks into the creek when I saw it from Highway 6.

Hunted Elk Ridge 3 years ago, saw black bears all over. This summer I saw a black bear and two cubs up by scofield. Seen 2 mountain lions, but from about 200' off, best to observe and not interfere with them.

Spencurai and I were driving up Ogden Canyon and we nearly hit a mountain lion that was crossing the road toward the river. He was as big as a great dane. I guess he was about half a mile below The Oaks restaurant. Our guess was he was looking for a tasty meal.

I wonder if it's the same one I saw just two Sundays ago when I was climbing up Soldier Summit? Right off HWY 6 and the train tracks.

Also, saw a mountain in Ruby Canyon late last summer, and one between Cresent Junction and Green river about two months ago.

Cougar at Alta Bear backside on mineral basin.

saw 3 bears just south of Provo Peak couple years back, Lots of Mountain Lions, bobcats, Foxes, couple wolverines down by Fairview, I've seen one lynx, buncha badgers. Mostly all on the Manti La-Sal

1997, saw a cougar and at least 2... kittens? lion cubs? on the east fork of the Jacob City canyon. Scared the hell out of me and I kept waiting to get chewed on.

they come and go, we will go a couple years with out see'n any then will get a year or two that there all over
