They have been around for a while down there. There was talk of a franchise sort of thing a few years back, and that was the first one....Not sure if the same guy still runs it, but he was a retired LEO. Cool guy.

I thought the one in Kentucky was opened and running before the one in Moab closed. I think they did do some kind of a franchise or name purchase agreement.

I believe so too....I wheeled with the guy many years ago (Steve still worked at MO).

As the story went, the LEO dude was working undercover in another 4wd shop in Kentucky. Guess they were selling drugs out of it....After the bust, he decided he liked the offroad bussiness and knew the dude that owned MO, so they worked a deal for him to open an MO in Kentucky....

My bad, I thought I had read this statement on their website, but it was actually from the Moab Jeeper Magazine...

So what’s a Moab Offroad doing in Louisville? 10 or so years ago Brad Jeffries started the shop and about 6 years ago Max bought him out. Yes it’s the same Brad who started the Moab Offroad in Moab. The name however stuck and built up a clientele on this end of the states.

As the axle turns... :D

Marc, when are we going to put pen to paper and write a killer U4WDA article about the Utah 4WD scene over the years... Starting with BEPCO, On/Off, etc...

I dont know all the details about the Moab offroad shop in Louisville KY, but I used to deliver frieght just down the street from there around five or six years ago, and thought it was strange to have a Moab offroad so far away from Moab. was always going to stop and check it out, but never had the time.
