So, this hasn't really gone anywhere for the last year or more. I waited all last summer for my radiator to show up. I finally got it in October of 2023. It's a nice piece but I was never happy with the mounts and it kind of had me confused at what to do. With the engine somewhat mocked into place and the radiator mounted, there was almost no clearance between the electric fan and accessory pulleys. At this point I needed to decide if I wanted to do a recessed firewall, find a smaller fan or possibly re-do the mounts and sink the radiator into the grill area. After nearly a year of internal debate, I decided today was the day. I've spent plenty of time assessing the situation and determined there was nothing that would be affected by moving the radiator deeper into the grill. Out came the air saw, off went the old mounts and with help of a tig welding friend on went the new mounts. I actually like the looks of it better now and have 2"-3" clearance. Here are some before and after test fit pictures.
This shows the radiator without the fan. Notice how it sticks out from the "cap" that goes over the top.

Now that the radiator mounting is worked out, time to actually decide on some motor mounts. My first attempt was hoping this universal LS Style from Speedway Motors would work. They are really nice and built well. Unfortunately, they will not work due to where the steering shaft connects to the steering rack. Once a frame side mount is on the steering shaft will run directly into it, no matter what angle u-joint is capable of.20240818_154650.jpg20240818_154535.jpg
