Exhaust shop in UT county

I got a new tow rig the other day and want to put a better exhaust on it. It's an 85 F-250 EX cab with a ATS turbo. I would like a 3"-4" exhaust from teh down pipe back. I don't know if I want to straight pipe it or put a good flow through muffler on it.

Is there good exhaust shops in the Orem, Provo area. I'd even go to SLC if the price was right.

Rick's Muffler, just off State and about 900 N, behind the Classy Car Buyers car lot in Orem.
I also say Rick's he has done all my Exhaust work on all my cars that I have had. He does awesome work and is really good on his prices. :)

Tell him Justin from Aero Exhaust referred you.

Wherever you go, get an Aero Turbine or Aero TurbineXL muffler. (I'm gonna be biased on this one cuz I work for Aero Exhaust, but you can pm or call me with any questions 801-495-0882, and Im happy to hook up fellow RME members with a discount). Dave does great work and I refer all our local customers to him for installs.

Either Ricks or Master Muffler, just down the street. I've met Rick on the trails and Master Muffler has done all of my exhaust work (before I met Rick). Good service and prices and they go the extra mile to make it right.

Another vote for Ricks in Orem, he is awesome

One more vote. I know Rick and his son Jesse (who also works there) personally. They both love offroading and they'll take care of you.

Yep, they are good guys. I watched them go through the TJ phase, then Jesse got the Scout, but I think he sold it. Are they still wheeling?

I'll have to stop by Ricks and see what he can do. I'm looking at ether 3.5" or 4". I just don't want to have a cackle comeing out of the exhaust. My last truck had a 3" straight pipe with a 5" tip it cackled like crazy at high RPM's but it didn;t have a turbo. Will having a turbo on this truck keep the cackle down with a straight 3.5"-4" pipe?

I had 4" straight pipe on my 85 ATS equiped oil burner. The turbo will quiet it down a lot. Normal driving, it's a pleasent "Flowmaster" type sound. Towing a load up hill, more of a burned out "Glasspack" effect. I didn't mind it, but no body ever drove in the lane next to me for some reason. :D

When't to ricks, he quoted me $470 for 4" from about a foot back from the down pipe, through a flow through muffler then over the axle, and then out. Thats a little out of the price range. Maybe I can do it myself some how?

There are some aftermarket kits on ebay for cheap but I don't know what the quality is.

I was just over there looking looks like $225 for a kit. I'd build it myself but getting it over the axle is the hard part. Also finding a 3" to 4" adapter.

Rick does killer work, but he is a bit spendy. I have used JR's Custom Muffler, in Orem many times. They did work on my old Camaro, my Toyota & straight piped my Dodge. All their work is near the quality of Ricks, at about 1/2 the cost.

JR's Custom Muffler is located between the freeway & Geneva road, here's the info-

I didn't know Jesse sold the Scout, but I haven't been over there or wheeling with them for a while. I saw Rick coming back from AF Canyon a couple weeks ago, so I know he still goes. The guy's nuts, he'll try anything a few times, even if he gets close to rolling it every time.
