I have a few updates after the full season of my current setup.

Nothing too serious, just refining some ideas, and adding a few odds and ends.

No changes here. Other than the finish, the stereo and other equipment is holding up great.

I added a 2nd Yellow top Optima to the tent rack. This makes 4 in the truck total. 1 isolated and the other three as a bank. Alternator charges all 4.

Rebuilt my fridge slide and sink/prep area. The original version did not withstand water very well, and was never meant to be permanent anyway. Also ponied up and bought the real ARB fridge tie downs.

I also added a self latching mechanism to this version. The the bar on the side is ramped at the far end and latches when the slide is pushed closed. Then to open, simply push down on this end to un-latch.

I have added a 1000/2000 watt inverter.

The I discovered the wonderful world of Quickfists. I added a speed shovel from poly performance and an axe.

Then finally, I re-plumbed the entire rack with pex and some push to connect sharkbite fittings. I re-mounted the water heater out of the way near the batteries and behind the fridge slide. Still working on a semi permanent mount for the propane tank.

I also added an outdoor RV style shower with both hot and cold water. At the same time I added a remote water fill. No more crawling up in the back of the truck with the hose.

When I was doing that I had the idea to have the ability to run on city water. So when I have pressure to the water fill, I can close off a valve that isolates the tank, and it will pressurize the entire system. Being able to run without the pump or water tank.

I've made a few random changes for the upcoming camping season.

I built a roof rack that mounts to the tent rack to hold the solar panels. On the front of that I added a 42" LED light bar. Combo spot flood pattern. I took the box housed the RV shower and water fill and cut it down by about 5" so that I could re mount the water heater up and out of the way better, and free up some space in the bed. I made a rack to hold the camp table up and under the tent since there never seemed to be a great place to store it when all loaded up

Solar Panels and CB mount - If these work well, I'll upgrade to some better ones next year.

New Table mount and water heater relocated.

I know this is blasphemy but why don't you just buy a pop up camper shell? Another $2000 dollars and you should be there. Of course you would miss out on all the fun and satisfaction.
