Kurt, after messing with all of those fuel cans, which can would you recommend?

I've got an old style Jerry can that is untested and maybe not reliable. I've been considering acquiring a Spectre type MFC for my upcoming HITR trip.

Scepter MFC is my personal preference followed by the Wedco/NATO cans in the non-CARB flavor

Some people just don't have the overland skills required to keep up with Expedition Overland..

But in all seriousness.. That would suck.

I know that crossing VERY well, probably been thru it 12+ times.... not very bright to just drive right in without checking the depth first! I've had my wife walk it before we drove in, she still talks about it... not in a good way.

That river gets DEEP, the only time I've crossed it is early Spring (before runoff) and in the late Fall/Winter... other than that, stay out!

I think it's a good thing you can still call her your wife. I don't think that would be the case in my marriage.

 She is a good woman, puts up with a lot! She was willing to walk into the river, but it was a bit deeper and more swift than we both expected, and that was when it was pretty low! Even the dog got a little panicked when she started to drift down river!

I just watched this with my daughter. She got so anxious for the guy sitting in the hood. I thought her head was going to pop!

She says "well maybe Kurt can go with them, so they don't break their truck again. Huh dad!"

Wow I don't know how they thought that was a good idea... I thought you were supposed to pull the spark plugs and turn it over to get water out so you don't bend rods.
