my 2000 f250 has no power steering when i am stopped at idle, but when I am driving, I have no problem. do you think this will be an expensive upgrade or has anyone heard of an alternative fix. I am running 35's

This problem was popular while I was an engineer with Ford. Unfortunately, there's likely no fix. This is a poor design characteristic that is inherent in the F-Super Duties---it's exaggerated with oversized tires and non-factory wheel offset due to the factory scrub radius and steering axis inclination.

For 2000, there was a different pitman arm that was offered, however, it didn't make much of a noticeable difference. I'll see if I can find the TSB.

does it have the hydro brakes or the snowplow package?

has only the factory 4 inch lift and upgraded tire and wheel package the guy I bought it from said thats how it fuctioned brand new
