Got my car inspected and it failed. The Honda Civic failed for front brakes stopping too fast. They did several tests and then tested my 4runner after and the that passed so its not the inspection mechanism. Any one have ideas? proportioning valve, booster adjustment maybe faulty caliper? I need to take the front wheels off and check it out but looking for suggestions.
thanks.

I second that. How far up do you have to pull on the e brake before it stops? Discs or drums?

My 78 f 250 failed the same way once. Turned out I had a broken leaf spring in the rear allowing the axle to shift under braking. Where do you go for inspection? Seems like some places are a lot tougher than others. Like the ones with that type of brake testing machine. Not saying we dont need good brakes just an opinion.

The image they showed me was that they were with in specs but on the loose side. Ill see about readjusting them and then re-accessing the front disc. Good call. Ive taken it to jiffy lube. The rears are drums.
