I always make my solutions more complicated that needed. My first attempt was a bridge with a series of paddle wheels to knock the balls down the bridge. This is so simple

That one works great! I saw a solution for this that was 5 pieces, but I didn't want to steal the idea.

Don't you mean you can't get inside the box? It's not that bad once you figure it out... I've done it before with a simpler design, but this one works too.-
