Feds reopen 3 roads in Deep Creek

From the article:

Under the settlement announced Monday by officials for Utah and Juab County and a number of environmental groups, the federal government agreed to reopen Granite Canyon, Toms Creek and Trout Creek roads in the Deep Creek Mountains.

Utah and Juab County took responsibility for removing downed trees to make the roads passable and agreed to help U.S. Bureau of Land Management rangers enforce other driving restrictions in the area.

The state and county agreed to drop some of their other claims to rights of way in the Deep Creek Mountains.

So does anyone know where these are?

Not camping but I have spent time in the areas of these. I always wanted to see where they led.

Cool roads to check out. West of Callao in the Deep Creeks. The roads are listed in the Utah Rec Atlas and on other maps. Glad they are finally legally open.

Really glad to see this happen though this was effectively a compromise, i.e. other trails were sacrificed. There are some great pics of the trails in a similar thread on ExpeditionUtah. Time to head out there and visit the homestead
