Screen print to convert it to an image, then paste into Illustrator or Photoshop. That is how I would do it. Then just clean it up.

If you are asking how to get bit map or pixel based art into vector format. You will need to take it into photoshop and create some work paths to export to illustrator.

If you simply want to paste it into the document, copy / paste.

I am guessing you want to be able to scale the image without resolution loss. Is that correct?

We are putting together t-shirts for a March of Dimes walk and my wife made the logo in Word (program she was comfortable with). The printer needs the logo in .ai or .cdr (.eps or .wmf would also work, but not preferred).

Whatever you do it will still be in pixel based format unless you redraw it in ai. The reason they are asking for it as a ai file is so they can scale it.

If you can print to a pdf format they can open pdf's in illustrator. It won't be what they are looking for, but maybe they can get it to work.
