fins and things... Moab trip report!

gijohn40

too poor to wheel... :(
Location
Layton, Utah
The trip started at 0900 at the bowling alley where there was 31 vehicles (mostly jeeps but had one blazer and one amigo) ranging from a cj3a up to the newest TJ's and 4-5 cherokees. The trip started out pretty good until an old cj5 had a clutch linkage break and so we all waited for him to rebuilt it. Lucky for him they found the old linkage and was able to put it all back together again!

From there we got back to it until I slowed down to allow the guy behind me to make the correct turn and when I looked around the guy in front of me was gone! needless to say I was the 23 of 31 vehicles and I made the wrong turn and we ended up taking the scenic overlook of fins and things! not that many people behind me cared due to got to see some great scenery while the others just sat at the lunch meeting area.

after lunch we continued on until we hit kenny's hill where most all of us took a stab at it. the only ones that didn't were the amigo and the 3 people that had rented jeeps here... guess they didn't want to buy a new jeep today!

after that we finished the run without any troubles or broken parts... we were done by 1400 for you military, 2 pm for you civilians and for us 4 wheelers mickeys hands are like this.....

I did stop and check out lions back and it is open but they are charging $10 to run it but baby lions back is still free! Potatoe salad hill is open and I watched a few make successful runs up it... then some one in a open diff cherokee with 31 inch tires decided to make a run and will be replacing the rear pumpkin gears before he plays anymore!

So any questions?
I have bunchs of pictures but I'm not sure I can post them on here due to place to save them to... anyone got a server? and can take some video's and pictures?
