what about extending the fenders? Would that look too goofy? Then you could throw a winch in front of the radiator...

probably a stupid idea.

What about wide fiberglass fenders? THey will open the wheelwells up significantly to help allow of r maybe an inch or two of extra forward axle placement?

i've got some 1st gen (1983) pickup fenders you can have nic. They have the bigger metal curved flare. I even have a 1st gen hood I would sell for cheap.

keep in mind this is a 265/70r17 tire and bald none the less.

it just looks kind of funny, it would be absolutely ideal for a rock crawler but I dont know for this build.

Ah, I definitely agree. A picture is worth 1000 words.

Scratch the stretched fender idea. Even if the fenders matched up, the tires would still hit the headlights on the uptravel. Bummer!

I say "bummer" but I"m actually excited to see how you tackle this hurdle. I love the creative solutions you come up with on your builds.

wheel base as it sits right now is 126" and frame hight is 23" really not too bad. A little tall in the rear, I would like to see my shackle angle a little more relaxed, But then again there is only the frames weight to compress the springs. I am in hopes it will settle with some weight and give me the height I am looking for

Yeah, for an expedition rig it is not necessary. I would recommend moving the front axle back at least 3-4". Also, you are right, it looks very funny.

Big Big Big change of plans!!

I found a new body for me to transplant all my drivetrain into.
I will be doing the exact same thing as planed, except now into a 2004 tacoma
The front is wreaked a little, but not too bad at all. :D
