Hello I'm new to the site and hope I'm posting in the right place. I own a 98 TJ 4L 6CL that is in need of a new transmission. Any recommendations on where in town I can take it, just looking for a shop that will source the parts and do the work for me so I don't have to do it myself. Thanks!

My son in law has a auto tranny from a TJ sitting in my garage, about 20K miles on it. I would have to ask him what year it was from but I think it was from a 2006 if that would work for you. I would love to have it go away.

1998 6cyl TJ should be an AX-15 transmission if it's a manual 5-spd.

Novak sells the brand new updated ax15 transmission. Might be worth looking into.
