Fishing Holes

I am looking for a good place to go fishing that will also require a little bit of wheeling my bro in law and myself want to get out go fishing and do a little bit of wheeling. Someone suggested Whitney reservoir but I don't even know how to get there. I don't want to have to drive extremely far from Salt Lake. Any other suggestions or can someone give me directions how to get to Whitney?

Sorry haven't been fishing for probably 4 years.

Did find this for Whitney though...

Google maps where I think it is:

Yep, that's Whitney alright. I was up that way all last week. I did not go to Whitney but was in the region. The misquitos and flies are horrible this year. It takes 2 hours from ogden to the turn off of Whitney. I drove up to there years back and I remember it being a not so great dirt road. Just head up to the North Slope of the Uintahs on the Mirror Lake highway and you will see the turn off.:D
Or you could go to Birch Creek over Monte Cristo and take the back road in, it would be some pretty fun light 4 wheeling.:)

You can take the Norway Flats road (off of the Mirror lake road) up to Little Elk or hike a bit more to Big Elk Lake. Norway Flats is more challenging than the road up to Whitney.
