Well the kitchen remodel is about done so I should be able to devote more time to the build.

Santa brought me (should have in a week or two) some new corbeau seats, FOA air bumps, CNC Master Cyleder / brake peddle assembly and CNC cutting brake.... MOTIVATION

Pics of some of the progress

Well I’m getting closer. It’s nice knowing that now when I put something in it gets to stay! Working on the motor now. I am in the middle of hooking up all the accessories, exhaust and running the fuel lines.

Well after three years I got to take her out for a test run saturday! Feels like a dream! Thanks to Casey at Richens Auto for helping me charge my shocks so I could get her on the road yesterday.

Still to do- Make locker bracket and install the air locker system, install the rock lights, adjust everything, tune the suspention and install the belts.

Issues I noticed durning the test drive that need work: I have a front axle tub oil leak, my front 2 piece drive shaft with off-set u-joints starts to vibrate at about 30- mph (i was expecting some vibration and it was actually better than I thought) I may end up doing something diffrent in the future. For now on long high speed sections I may just unbolt the front shaft and tie it up and then rebolt it when needed. I also noticed a bit of slop in the front pinion conversion on the unimog 404 axles. I thought the pinion gear was loose so I tore it down to find it was just the flang that has a bit of movement in it (I don't know what to do about that yet). My egine temp stayed steady at about 180 but at times got up to 195, this may be in range but maybe I need to throw in a new thermostat. My rear brakes lock up before the front (no suprise). I think all I need to do is adjust the balance bar on the willwood assembly. I was please to be able to lock up all 4 wheels faily easily when needed. I have a small fluid leak out of my TH350, I think is is seeping from the sift collar and don't know if its worth fixing right now. I may just have a bit too much fluid in it.

I finished the on-road to off-road HOV registration fairly easily, so now she is ready for the trail.

I was unsure about the stickers (kind of poser) but I put them all on and I ended up like how it looks. You guys think its too much?

We will be heading to moab for the safari on thursday and back saturday I hope to meet some of you this season!

More pictures to come!
