Not sure what I was thinking. I guess my instinct from riding motorcycles took over and I was trying to bail out.

not positive but isn;t that the number one rule when riding motorcycles and you're about to dump it...not to stick your leg out to stop it???

Nah. I have saved myself hundreds of times on dirtbikes..... but do remeber they are much lighter... a four-wheeler is a different story... sticking your leg out is a good way to run it over...

Ouch, sorry about your TJ! Glad noone was hurt. I was in Moab about 3 years ago (when Hummers were cool!) and I got to ride in a hummer and the driver went into a hottub and got really tippy, he thought he was gonna go over, so he stuck his hand out like he was going to push the hummer back on it's wheels! Guess it's just instinct!

Glad you still have your leg man! :p

I wasn't trying to stop it, I was trying to get out. You never hold on to a motorcycle if you go down.

Kikn - It was a relatively easy & fun trail. I had made a few other climbs with no problem. Jeromy went up it right before I tried with no problem at all. I guess it was just meant to be.:)
