You're right Wayne. You must be the Jeep P.H.D. Granted I needed to do the ball joint that was 2 years gone, U-joint in the front axle that had rust for grease, Steering box that was jumpy one way and not the other, not to mention feeling more-and-more like manual steering. Hoses to the box that were leaky cause they were cut. Just so happens that the problem I complained about in the first place happens to be the wheel bearing wabbling back and forth, just a tad, but enough to scare you at 60mph. After having to put a Ujoint in the end of the steer coloum I'm past broke and still not steering like a champ. But with a new steer box I think I'll just have to get by till I can empty my wallet again and get that wheel bearing snug.

Check out Speedway Motors.... They have those steering joints for like $50 or so.... They are much better than the stock factory stuff, and probably cheaper, too...

Here is the linky...

Thanks though I probably wasn't clear but It's a done deal. $100 cut welded and all spicer'd up. I didn't trust myself on the measuring and welding part so I paid Six States to have at it.

I do need a Steering box brace for my box the fabbed one I had was tired and made out of junk engine parts. So I am curious if anyone has one or knows where to buy one. This one didn't seem to fit, plus there seems to be more metal acting as a brace where the box brace would attach. so I scrapped that Idea and am looking for another application.
