This may be a long shot, but RME never ceases to amaze me... Maybe I'll get lucky!

I need stock front and rear springs from a 99-04 Ford Super Duty truck for a project...

The fronts need to be "U" code springs, and the rears need to be "B" code springs.

The spring code is not listed on the spring anywhere, nor is there any way that I know of to identify them unless you know what truck they came off of.

The spring codes can be found on the vehicle ID sticker usually found on the B-pillar inside the driver side door. In the picture I circled the spring codes - the first letter is the front code, the second letter is the rear.

Anybody? :crossingfingers:

:)

Will "B"'s be better than the add-a-leaves you have now?

Word on the interweb is that the "B" code rear springs were the best-riding rear leaf spring available on the Super Duty platform. Plus, even with the 2 add-a-leaves :)eek2:)in my existing stock pack now, there is significant pinion angle change (pinion moves 3"+ up and down) when power-braking in forward then reverse. All U-bolts are tight, and the only movement I can detect is twist in the pack itself. This wrap/twist in the stock pack (along with an insufficient/nonexistent rear anti-sway bar) is rumored to be the source of most if not all of the instability/wandering that the Ex's are notorious for - especially while towing. Hopefully the "B"s are much less prone to wrapping up like the stockers are. I also have a stock F-250/350 rear swaybar to install too, since my Ex came with none...

Bump - still need a set of "U" code fronts.

Maverick - turns out the set I got from you are for the previous body style... They won't fit...

Bummer about the springs. I still have the other ones that I thought were the U codes (with the separated ends). Sounds like 1-TonJKUR has the set up though. Just used my X to tow 12,000 lbs again. That will become pretty regular at the end of June when I get my trailer.
