I took 70 pic's and 95 percent of them are us pushing and pulling on someone.

btw sorry they are so small. board doesn't like 6megapixels. i have to reduce them 75%. If anyone wants any I can email thte full size ones.

It was a great time, I really enjoyed being up there with you all. That Hill was the best... nothing like full throttle & 2nd gear!

Great run today! That snow did get slick quick. The hill was plenty fun, but the mud at the beginning will be a pain to clean out of my rig. Can't wait to get some windows put in that thing!

I recognize a lot of the spots, but how far up were you able to get? Did you try to go to Mineral Basin at all?

Most of the group made it just past the big hill, before turning back. Kurt was leading & he made to the final hill before you drop into the Forest Lake bowl before the snow got way too deep & there was nothing to anchor his winch to (besides Ogre).

We spent alot of time working on getting to Forest Lake, so the idea of attempting Mineral Basin was tossed out.

100 yards from the lake...

We probably could have fought the snow and made it to the top, but at that point, the snow was already 2-4' deep, and the winch was the only thig moving us...

On our last attempt at the final hill, we got stuck pretty good, I stepped out of the Cruiser and fell into 4' of snow (a filled up rut). We surveyed our winch options and decided our only chance was to winch sideways, thus turning the Cruiser around. We used both of my tow straps (50 feet) and ALL of my cable (only had 3 wraps left on the winch) and it took alot of effort by Ogre and I to get them stretched enough. Finally we were able to pull it together and turn around...

Moving the cable through the snow was a major PITA, the cable collected snow and slush and get even heavier. Walking in 3' of snow (in sneakers mind you) was no easy task while trying to pull the cable. The last winch setup took us ~45 minutes...

I'm glad we turned around when we did, otherwise we would have stayed longer helping Olly out...
