Fried xj computer?

Car died and electrical smoke smell under hood. What do I look at first?

kinda hard to really say what to look at first...if it were me I would first look over the whole thing for anything obvious, then I would look real carefully in the area the most smoke was coming from(if you saw any)...then start a trouble shooting sequence...will it start? and go from there...electrical problems suck ass to trace...

Electrical problems SUCK in an XJ. I've got a spare computer from a '91. Should work up through '93.
