front d60 questions

I looked at turning them down but the reasearch I turned up I found that having the 8 tabs as the wheel mounting surface wasnt sufficient strengthwise. Some guys have machined and welded a flat plate onto the tabs for a wheel mounting surface.

not a throttle jockey, currently on 37" mtrs, will be at least 40" tsl's before EJS, hopefully 42's if I can get them to fit....
Not concerned about the strength, those 8 tabs are far beefier than anything on my old Toy axle.

Running 42s I suspect you'll quickly learn to be concerned about strength.

isn't the whole point of a d60 to not worry about breaking?

just a thought.. don't sacrifice the whole objective just to save a few bucks

ive seen rockwells brake.. they are all breakable..

i'm gunna run 39.5's on my d60 and i'll be surprised if i dont brake once and a while.. and now i'm worried about output shafts too...

yeah yeah everything can break but d60s are less likely to break than d44s. a good, steady driver can have a d60 last a lifetime... but yeah you are gonna BREAK THE HELL OUT OF YOURS (you are not a good, steady driver, but rather a crazy sonofagun).
