I have slowly been working on my 2000 jeep cherokee's fuel system. i trouble shot that the fuel pump was bad and changed that and it care care of one problem but it keeps causing more problems. I am tired of trying to fix it when I am not working but want it fixed so i can go wheelin more. Does anybody know where the good shops are for these kind of issues on jeeps. I am ready to pay to get the problem resolved, but i haven't been in Lehi too long and dont want to get ripped off. Any tips would be helpful,
Thanks.

I am having fuel leaking issues. i changed the fuel trying to get all the dirt and crap out of the tank and go that done. it starts up great. i changed the fuel supply line fromn the pump to the hardline on the frame. my question is this- on the 2000 cherokee's the fuel pump opening is on the top of the tank. have any one ever had it leak from the top of the tank. when i hit bumps and the like i leave little spots behind me like the dang thing is markin it territory. i have changed everthing and am wanting to know if any one else has had the same kind of troubles. Also, what mechanic shops in Lehi are the best to go to and who should be avoided.

Sounds like a hole in the tank. Or the big screw on fitting for the pump. Simplist way to check is drop the tank and look at it. You do have two check/ breather valves on the top of the tank that go to the charcoal canister under the hood look at those and the lines to them too.

First thing I would check is the fit of the big cap and the seal. It's easy to cross thread those and think they're on. Or you may have it on and just not tight enough.
