full hydro tie rod question

If I have a dual ended ram on full hydro do I need a tie rod too? It doesn't seem like I do, but I want to make sure.

you need 2 little short ones to go from the ram to the knuckle

I should have explained a little better.
It is hooked up and running. It turns the tires. the two little ones that go to the high steer arms are there and functioning properly. The stock tie rod is still in place and I was wondering if I could just take it off.

Those little ones are the tie-rods. You don't need that stock one anymore...unless for some reason you feel that your little ones aren't up to the task of the full hydro.
