Now that the concrete is done, we are feeling optimistic about finishing. The garage door is scheduled for instal in 1 week.

I had to work with the boards I’ve got, which already had some painting from the previous signs.. but I think it worked well enough.

still in debate. I think I'd like to do a small single garage door ( 4-wheeler, lawn mower, etc).. but I don't know if that's really needed or not.

Most likely some rectangle windows along the top, brick the rest to match the house.

You should’ve just left the original door. That way in the summer you could roll both doors up and have a covered patio

That was the fist plan. Wife said no. She gave me a 1 year deadline to get it done. Maybe she will enjoy it and change her mind within that time.

I hope those concrete printed homes become more available, I really want to buy one from mudbots and some acreage somewhere nice and put a few tiny homes up with it.

What do you guys think of rain gutter chains? I always think I like them when I see them.. but also think they are odd other times.
Our yard is very heavy with metal items from planters to old tractor wheels to an artistic motorcycle.
I think basic trucker tie down chains would work well.. but can’t decide if it would be too odd to add them.

My neighbor had them for a couple of years and got rid of them. If you pipe your water away from the house after the downpout then these will not help get it into the pipe when it is raining heavy.

I’m just going to keep my mouth shut, pretend that the garage door installer did his job right, and pretend to be happy that we have a garage door!
It doesn’t need to actually open or be functional, right?

But at least from the street it’s starting to look much better!!
