my 86 dana 44 rear has the GG in there with a detroit locker and last night as I was replacing a u joint I noticed the shaft has about a 1/4 turn of play in it... not sure if this is from the R&P or the detroit... but they both have been in there for about 5 years now with no trouble... but I do wish I would have read this thread back then when I got the r&p done...

I.M.O., the best bang for your buck.

I also have a hard time supporting GG based on the ties with 4WPW. I've boycotted that crap shack.

Yukon has always treated me right with ZERO quality problems to report as well.

That 1/4 turn is a normal Detroit thing.
