get that damn mouse

So I have have had a mouse under my kitchen cabinets for a week now and I can't catch him. I can't get into where he is at without ripping my cabinets apart so I drilled a hole and pulled off a little panel to put a trap(sticky trap) in there. He had a stock pile of dog food in there and so I thought maybe he just isn't hungry or doesn't like peanut butter so I put one in with peanut butter and dog food since he seems to like the dog food. So I go check it today and the traps are both gone. After looking a little more I find them clear in the back next to where he hides with no mouse and no food. I don't want to just poison him and have a stinky dead mouse. How can I get the bastard because tommorrow I'm ripping out the cabinets rather then setting up my gears. Any suggestions?

The sticky traps usually do the job for me, but I have used the poison on a few of them. One we found dead the next morning on the carpet, the other one died somewhere under the cabinets or in the wall. I never smelled anything from the second one.

Wow, my dad just pulled the dishwasher out from under the cabinet to clean (he suspected a mouse back there) and sure enough one had been back there with some dog food stockpiled. Those little bastards can move some junk!

I've been dealing with mice at my house... We just moved in last week and it has been vacant for ~3 months, we put the poison out in the garage and hope it does the trick.

Now for the rodent burrowing in my backyard...

They can get out of the regular mouse traps too easily Stickies are the way to go.

I've had to mercy kill a mouse stuck to a glue trap, the thing had torn away skin struggling to get free. They are just too cruel of a method of killing IMO. Regular old trap with the right bait and correctly set ensures a quick and painless death.
