Last summer I got my family into motorbikes (myself, wife, + 2 kids) My wife got the TTR125 and it has been a perfect bike. It is very forgiving for those times when throttle control is not perfect. When she took the sand too slow and got stuck, the seat is low enough she just put her feet down. As a beginner rider I can't think of any event with that bike that has been intimidating to her. For a new rider I think that the electric start has prevented a lot of frustration with re-starting.

I have a friend who's wife rides a crf150, sweet bike, probably more than $1000 buy used and you should get your money back if she dont take to it. My 7 year old rides a KLX 110 and yes they have no clutch. easy to learn on but she would likely want a bigger bike by the end of the weekend.

Great feedback guys, I really appreciate it. I think I better just set her down on a bike and be sure she fits it before I get sold on one specific bike. Id really like to get her a bike that we can keep for a bit so I can put the effort into making it her own. Because of that Im going to stay away from pitbikes and 80cc. I really appreciate the offers to check out your bikes, everyone on here is just too cool!

rholbrook I think Id really like to check out your two bikes, because they seem the most sensible. Ill shoot you a PM
