Give me some ideas for a new potential project

Ok guys, I need some input for a project that I might be getting for free :D

It is a 71 or 72 (not sure which) Jeep Commando. It has the buick v-6 and three speed manual trans with what I think is a dana 20 t-case. Some rust on the tail gate and floor boards, but nothing that cant be fixed. The engine runs, but I have no idea what condition the internals are in. There is something seriously messed up with the pedal cluster as they flop around and the gas pedal hits the trans tunnel.

My thoughts as to what I want out of the rig is this; at least 35's, lockers front and rear, reliable, street legal, and not too much $$$.

Here is what I was thinking, either rebuild the V-6 and trans t-case combo and swap in Wagoneer 44's front and rear. Or swap in a chevy 4.3 and tubro 400, not sure what t-case I would use.

What would you guys build if you could? I am thinking of something like a mini James K rig :greg:

I have a EFI 4.3 with 700R4 trans I will sell ya. I have the entire wiring harness for the Astrovan it came out of. I also have the driveline, fuel pump, and gauge cluster. It came out of a 2wd 1992 model. $450.

For your project, this would be ideal with a D300 clocked flat behind the tranny.
