Glad I didn't speed while in Finland!

I went to Finland via a cruise and took time to drive around in Finland. A 20oz. bottle of Coke was $15.00 USD. I thought that was bad, but don't get caught speeding there.

My boss drove through a lot of those countries last year and to date he is up to 2600 dollars in traffic violations all from traffic cameras.

I had a friend from the Netherlands and she said that there if you have any unpaid fines they won't let you cross the border until you pay them.
It cost her $6000 to leave the country.

I know that if you follow the speed limit you don't have to worry about it. I can't help but think about some family that saved for years to get there and has it budgeted tight and then got hit with this while traveling abroad.
That would sure kill a trip quick if you got hit with that while traveling and had to pay the fees before you could continue.
