Funny thing, i was watching stacey davids gears on youtube today and they had a tour of the cherry bomb factory. What is pretty amazing is the lack of performace loss from straight pipes to the cherry bomb glass pack. I recommend them as a replacement, and it will tame the exhaust note to some degree. Cheap, effecient, and does the job.

Man, I hate glass packs!! They sound like crap, IMO. There are better, low-profile options out there that will perform and sound 100x better.

I have one under my v8 Jeep only because with the triangulated setup on the rear I don't have a lot of room, but it doesn't crackle like most I have heard. If you are looking for one I have a brand new 2.5 inch inlet/outlet Cherry Bomb in the garage.

I used to have a pair on my '73 Chev with the V8 and loved the sound.

So when I bought my I4 Jetta I put on on it, now I wonder what the heck I was thinking.

So I put one on my 4.0 Cherokee, and it sounded terrible and I'm pretty sure cut back performance.

anything with a fiberglass packing will break down after a while... i definitely prefer a chamber style muffler as they dont degrade and break down. Some people like the way they sound, and some dont so I wont remark on that. plus many engines like a little back pressure to keep their torque right off idle up ( I dont have any scientific proof on that last part, just personal experience)

To me its like a bigger pipe on a cummins. That noise gets sooo irritating. The constant drone gets to me. Quiet is nice.

I have had a cherry bomb in my last 2 jeeps. That's 10 years of Cherry Bombs.

You absolutely cannot beat the clearance.

Make sure you get a long one and they are quiet enough to hear your spotter just fine in competition crawling. I is just as quiet as the magnaflow was in my V8 YJ until about 3500 RPM.
If you get one that's 10" long.... well it'll be loud.

Zero complaints on packing out and getting louder and Zero complaints on rusting out.

When I swapped my first one in my ex wife couldn't even tell the different between it and the stock exhaust and that woman complained about EVERYTHING haha.

The body on mine is about 22 inches if memory serves, it's quiet until you put your foot into it.
