I think the fuel delivery would work fine if you can get the firing order and electronic ignition issues worked out. I'd call Howell and a few other vendors to see if they've done similar.

It might be easier/cheaper to just do a port injection system from a donor F*rd. I'm thinking truck based and try to make it flow respectably.

I'm a big fan of factory swaps, and Ford has their own decent injeced stuff (I guess... LOL )

Why fit a square peg in a round hole when you can get factory round pegs???

I think he is asking becasue he just picked up a GM tbi for nothing and he has a ford motor. That is why he is trying to fit a square peg in a round hole...$$$

Sometimes by trying to save $$$$, you can spend a LOT. I'd still call those TBI companies about the electrical system management. I believe the fuel system would work fine, but the GM computer has ESC and I doubt the 351 firing order (whatever that is--stinkin' F*rds) is the same as a small block Chev. They may be able to make a new 'map' to work with the F*rd engines (as I believe this is what they use to do AMC engine TBI conversions).

If it is an older tbi the ign. should not be an issue. just use the stock 351 ign.
Howell does have everything you need to do it, not very difficult. Try searching Broncofix.com for more info.

As for Ford swaps. ther really is not a good option for EB's. The only 351w's that came with inj were in trucks and FSB's. They all have the tall intake that does not fit "well" in EB's. So the only real option is to mix and match new Ford motorsport parts with mustang/lincoln parts.

I can remember reading somewhere about a backyard fix for this, you can use the Ford electronic ignition, if you resist down the tach pulse to the GM computer to 4.6 volts or something - research it I can't remember where I read it, then you have to add a GM Knock sensor and a Gm Temperature sensor, and if it doesn't already have a single wire oxygen sensor, it needs one of those too.

firing order isn't so much an issue if you use the factory distributor hooked up to the vacuum advance, and just use the tach pulse as the baseline to fire the injectors, it's mickey mouse, but it should work.
