Good Luck, or Bad Luck?

Today a bunch of us ran Rusty Nail, (trip pictures to follow), but it came up in discussion. Is it good luck or bad luck to run over the base of Goony Bird Rock on the way in? Some of us did, and some of us did not, but it rained on all of us. :D

I always stop and pet him....it is just mean to run over his toes!

Big rock on the south side of road right before the road splits to go to Metal masher or rusty nail.
Looks like the head of a big bird.

I need a picture of this rock. I'm not familiar with it or it's lore.

It's kind of hard to miss.

I would say it's never good to mess with giant stone birds. I have seen way too many cartoons and movies where such things exact a horrible revenge when wronged. And not many of us travel with that stone guy from Land of the Lost, or the Thing.

I would steer clear, or stop and pet the Bird gently and with a great deal of love.

oh i uhhhhh meant

It's hard not to see it on the horizon there

You just keep on not running into it though, that's good thinking right there

:D

A quick update on this particular subject: Yesterday Chris ran over the Goony Bird's toes and was the only one to make the second obstacle on Rusty Nail unassisted. My verdict: It is indeed good luck to run that little bugger's toes over. :D
