goodyear tires not making big tires?

I heard a rumor that goodyear tire was going to stop making tires over 35 inches. Anyone else hear this rumor? It sounds too terrible to be true, but that is the word on the street.

I heard they were stopping their competition compounds and sponsorship's. Maybe this is why???

I have a buddy stopping by the Goodyear warehouse tomorrow. He will ask and find out if its true.

Not saying its true, but it sounds like a ploy to drive up demand so when they come back to market they can boost profits.

Goodyear had a pretty dismal showing at KOH last year, two of the top three finishers had 7+ shredded tires EACH. And they pulled pretty much all their sponsorship this year... so.. I don't know. Personally, for the price I'd seek another alternative.

This is what I found out. "We haven't received any official bulletin from Goodyear that they won't be making tires larger than 35" in the future. The warehouse hasn't heard anything about it either. The product codes that are associated with those tire sizes are still coming up, which means that haven't stopped production of them. If I hear anything in the future Ill keep you posted."
