Got smacked in the face after 3 rounds...

I went to my first conjugal visit with my suppressor while waiting for the ATF to get me my stamp. After 3 rounds the slide snapped smacking me in the face. Now this plinker has probably 20,000 rounds through it over an 8 year period so it doesn't owe me a thing but the guys at Impact are going to bat for me to get it replaced on sheer :eek: principle lol...

Impact is a great place to get equipped. They offer a lifetime warranty on every gun sold through them so that is a real bonus. I don't buy from anyone else.

I'm real curious. The suppressor shouldn't affect that at all, suspended off teh barrel as it is. The slide should feel no effect from the addition of a suppressor, and that break is kind of suspect on its own. I'm thinking the 20k of rounds through it might have more to do with it. :D

So they sent the pistol back with a Q model slide which is nice. They also didn't charge me a thing which is AWESOME. I am still waiting for my stamp from the feds so I can take the can home. Great customer service from Impact Guns!!

I think your working theory about added backpressure + fatigue with 8 trillion rounds through that gun makes good sense. More testing will be needed hahah
