Utah is the First State to Create a Document of this Kind for Outdoor Recreation

What: Governor Gary R. Herbert will unveil the State of Utah’s Outdoor Recreation Vision in collaboration with Outdoor Industry Association (OIA). Developed with the input of key stakeholders, the Outdoor Recreation Vision outlines the benefits of outdoor recreation and the recreation economy to Utah, and sets forth guiding principles and a series of significant policy recommendations to enhance outdoor recreation and related industries for the people of Utah and our visitors.



Why: The Governor and OIA recognize that outdoor recreation is an important element of Utah’s strong and diversified economy, and contributes to our health and sense of community. Outdoor recreation presents many issues and opportunities. The Outdoor Recreation Vision provides a solid foundation for working through these issues and promoting our shared priorities.

But if BHO turns the area in to a Monument, I can't boycott his real estate agent since he's in prison.

I read through it rapidly and personally did not see anything about preserving routes except the comment about supporting RS2477 claims. I did note that Mike Noel, Lynn Stevens, Fred Hayes, and Gordon Topham were contributors so at least our voice was heard. Maybe Paul Anderson can give us some advice on this.
