Jeep Grands and Commanders

My dad is looking at Grand Cherokees and Commanders, roughly 2006-2010s and said he is finding a number without low-range.

What trims/packages have low range or other off-road basics? Certainly not going to be crawler by any means (was tempted to point out with their health, not sure my parents are all that likely to even need low-range but figured best to bite my tongue!)

Sorry, not any help here. All of the Grands I have first hand experience with are ZJ's or WJ's, personally not a huge fan of the WK's with their IFS.

My son is currently building a clean 2004 WJ now with my JKU Rubicon front axle and a 2016 JK rear axle along with long arms.

V8's had low range. There is a little T-Shaped handle on the center console to shift into low range. I used to have a 2006 Commander with a 4.7L V8. Hemi versions had a better traction control system.
