Ok, so my question is, what is it like from the west bowl of Silver Fork into Days? IS that part rideable? Or were you walking your bike down until you hit the main Days Fork "road".

The bowl trail is very, very, narrow. You gotta be very comfortable in your riding ability to even ride the bowl. Then when you get to the saddle area where it drops into Days Fork it turns down the canyon as it descends. I always liked to try and get up towards the upper bowl of Days so I would take a unrideable half assed bushwhacking kinda trail that went up Days canyon as it descended (I know that doesn't make alot of sense but you are way up on the ridge so you can descend as you move up the canyon). I never followed the other trail that went north and down into Days so I can't vouch for that trail at all. Of course it has been about 7 years since rode Days, so conditions (and the trail) may be different. I tell you what it is a beautiful/fun ride. Quite steep and challenging towards the bottom though (unless there have been recent improvements).

Even dropping into Silver Fork from Grizzly on your bike is a fun ride. Not nearly as long and beautiful but alot of vertical drop for your modest upward hike. There is a trail that runs down into Silverfork Canyon north and below the Prince of Wales mine. Silverfork Canyon is almost a three hour hike to the top from Big Cottonwood. It's only a 45 min push with your bike from Grizzly if you start at the right place, which by the way is all the way up next to the newly built cabins up all the way onto the dirt road on the second switchback there is a little sign where the trail starts. It cuts out about 400 vertical feet if you start from there.
